On the directives of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, a rain emergency cell has been formed in the CM’s House which will inform the Chief Minister about the rain.
Chief Minister Sindh spokesperson said that Dr Mahwish Kulbani will be the focal person at the rain emergency cell that was created at the CM House.
According to the spokesperson, the focal person will be in contact with administrative departments, PDMA, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners.
Murad Ali Shah is constantly being informed of the situation during rains in different areas of Karachi.
It is important to note that drainage work is underway through drainage pumps on Natha Khan Bridge, Airport Road, Star Gate, Yusuf Goth West.
Heavy rains continue in most parts of Sindh, including Karachi and Thatta. Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta are also at risk of floods due to two consecutive storms.
Due to inclement weather in different parts of the country, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to cancel some of its flights for August 10 and 11.
