Solidarity to be shown with Kashmiris on Friday: DG ISPR

A conference was held at the ISPR in Rawalpindi on Wednesday regarding Defense and Martyrs Day to be marked on 6th of next month.

Civil and military officials from across the country attended the conference.

Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the main ceremony of the day will be held at GHQ.

He said this time the ceremony will be held in day time instead of evening.

Only families of martyrs and Ghazis will attend the ceremony.

The Army Chief will lay a floral wreath at the martyr’s monument at GHQ.

The Army chief will also meet the bereaved families of martyrs and Ghazis.

Major General Asif Ghafoor said that a program was launched last year to go to the house of every martyr.

This year also we will reach out to the residence of every martyr.

He appealed the people to visit the bereaved families of martyrs and express their gratitude to them.

Asif Ghafoor said that the pictures of martyrs will be put on display.

He said the great nations always remember their martyrs.

The Major General said that ceremonies to mark the day will also be held in each formation and different cities.

In connection with the Defense day, weapons’ exhibitions will also be held in cantonments.

‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan’ will also be part of celebrations.
