Pakistan’s permanent representative to United Nations Maleeha Lodhi has said that we want a peaceful solution to Kashmir issue through dialogue.

According to the details, the special meeting of UNSC on Kashmir issue has ended after which Maleeha Lodhi said that after many years world has finally heard the voice of Kashmiris.

Kashmir is not India’s internal matter, and Pakistan stands by Kashmiri brethren in hard times. Pakistan is continuously doing efforts and today’s meeting is one such evidence. Pakistan will continue to fight for Kashmir till the issue is solved, she added.

Maleeha Lodhi also thanked UNSC for arranging a meeting to discuss Kashmir issue. She also thanked China for their unconditional support in Kashmir cause.

The session of UNSC was convened on the request of Shah Mehmood Qureshi Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

On the other hand political department of UN and peace missions also gave briefing about situations in Kashmir. Five permanent members and 10 non-permanent members attended the session.

Chinese permanent representative to UN said that Kashmir issue was discussed in details. Human rights watchdogs have showed serious concerns regarding human rights in Kashmir.

Chinese representative said that Kashmir issue must be resolved through UN resolutions and through bilateral dialogue.
