9th Muharram processions end safely amid strict security

9th Muharram processions in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan and other cities have concluded after passing through the traditional routes.

According to details, nine Muharram al-Haram processions were appeared in different cities of Pakistan to pay homage to the eternal sacrifices of the Prophet (peace be upon him) grandson Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.

Strict security arrangements have been made at processions in various cities.

The main rally of the 9th Muharram in Karachi has started from Numaish Chorangi and after passing through M.A Jinnah Road, Radio Pakistan and Kharadar ended at Imam Bargah Hussain Irani. Strict security arrangements were made for the procession.

In Islamabad main procession of 9^th Moharram was taken out from Markazi Imambargah G-6/2 and ended at the same place after passing through the traditional routes. Large number of mourners had participated in the procession.

The main mourning procession in Multan appeared from Mumtazabad and after passing through the fixed routes concluded at Mumtazabad Imam Bargah.

In Gilgit, the procession of the 9^th Muharram al-Haram ended peacefully, the mourning procession was appeared from Imam Bargah Qasr Akbar Dakpura while passing through fixed routes ended at the main Imamiya mosque. More than 600 police, rangers and GB Scouts personnel deployed to perform security arrangements.

The main procession of the nine Muharram-ul-Haram in Hyderabad was appeared from Latifabad No. 5, organized by the association Guldasta Ali Akbar, ended Imam Bargah Chahardah Masoomeen.

9th Muharram procession also held in Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Hangu and Jhang, and mandi bahauddin and concluded peacefully.
