Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in New York on Monday.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of UN General Assembly Session.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and UN representative Maleeha Lodhi were also present during the meeting.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi also held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif at United Nations headquarters in New York.

Matters pertaining to peace and security in the region were discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foreign Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Both Foreign Ministers agreed to continue consultations on changing situation of the region.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan met US Senator Lindsey Graham and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and discussed about the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir.

According to the details, Imran Khan and Senator Graham discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and Pakistani diplomat Asad Majeed also attended the meeting.

PM Imran apprised Lindsey Graham about the deteriorating situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that India’s lock down in Kashmir has created a humanitarian crisis and posed a threat for regional stability.

Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the Council of Foreign Relations in New York.

He said that China, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates helped Pakistan and particularly its economy in taxing times.

PM further said that the government approached the IMF due to current account deficit.
