On the Defense and Martyrs Day of Pakistan Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah visited the house of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed.

As per details CM Sindh visited the house of Rashid Minhas Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider) on Friday, and paid homage to the sons of the soil who embraced martyrdom during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, and spent time with his family.

While doing media talks, Murad Ali Shah said Shaheed Rashid Minhas laid his life at a young age while fighting for the defense of the country, his name will always be remembered, He added.

Pilot Officer of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Rashid Minhas is the only PAF officer to receive the highest valor award, the Nishan-e-Haider.

He is also the youngest person and the shortest-serving officer to have received Pakistan’s top military honor.

He embraced martyrdom during the 1971 in a jet trainer crash while struggling to regain the controls from a defecting pilot.

It should be noted that today on 6th September, Pakistan is observing Defense Day with patriotic sentiments in solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir today.

This year, Defense Day is being observed as a day to express solidarity with the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.

Celebrations kicked-off with a 31-gun salute in memory of the martyrs in capital Islamabad and a 21-gun salute in all the provincial capitals.

Special prayers were held for the stability and security of the country, and for the freedom of Kashmiris after Fajar Prayers.
