Contingent of Pakistan Army presents guard of honor at Iqbal’s mausoleum

A special ceremony was held at Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum in Lahore this morning on Defense and Martyrs Day.

According to details, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honor at Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum in Lahore.

Defense Day is being observed today to pay tributes to the martyrs and ghazis and as Kashmir Solidarity Day, to reaffirm the support of Pakistani nation to the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.

Major General Muhammad Aamir laid floral wreath on the mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal after a contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor.

On the other hand, Defense Day ceremony held at Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed’s tomb.

A ceremony was held at the tomb of Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed in Lahore, where Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Zaman Bajwa laid floral wreath.

Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed’s son Taimur Shareef and daughter attended the ceremony with other military officials.

Defense Day is being observed with full patriotic zeal today.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive Muzaffarabad, capital of Azad Kashmir and will address a ceremony.
