Rangers have conducted an intelligence operation in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area of Karachi, 5 people have been arrested.
Rangers said that the arrested accused are involved in street crime, drug trafficking and illegal arms, and the suspects names are Zahid Ali, Imran Sheikh, Ghulam Haider, Shah Hussain, and Allah Dad. Police recovered weapons and ammunition from the suspects.
Earlier Rangers conducted operation in the Gulshan-e-Maymar, the Rangers had recovered huge quantities of ammunition.
On July this year Sindh Rangers on the basis of intelligence raided a location in Awami colony. The raid was accompanied by local area police as well.
During the raid, rangers arrested Arshad Ali alias kaka accused of selling drugs and snatching.
In the area of Ferozabad, rangers raided and arrested Adeel Ahmad and Muhammad Junaid Siddiqui accused of being involved in various incidents of snatching.
According to the details, rangers recovered weapons, ammunition and drugs from the suspects. All three suspects have been handed over to the police for further questioning.
The Rangers spokesperson said 52 Kalashnikovs, various MP5s, different types of 9mm pistol, 11 hand grenades, SMGs, magazine MP3, walkie talkies, mobile phones, USBs and CDs were also recovered.
Rangers appealed for people to report such suspects at the nearest check post or to the Rangers’ helpline 1101 or text at rangers Whatsapp number 03162369996. The identity of the person reporting will be kept secret.
