Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Faisal says that Pakistan has initiated several measures to keep a sustained focus on the situation in Occupied valley.
According to details, the foreign office spokesperson said that Human Rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has become the central issue of focus at the Human Rights Council.
He said Pakistan will exercise all options available to ensure that Human Rights Council’s actions meaningfully impact on the ground situation in Occupied Kashmir to end the suffering of Kashmiris.
According to details, US District court issued summons against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other Indian Ministers against the human right abuses in the valley.
The summons were also issued against Amit Shah, Union Home minister of India and Lt. General Kanwal Jeet Singh Commander of Indian Armed forces in the Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The action has been taken on a complaint filed by the Kashmir Khalitsan Referendum Front in a US district court, in Houston, Texas, where Modi is scheduled to address a joint rally with President Donald Trump on Sept 22.
The Front has complained that the Modi-led government has occupied Kashmir and on Aug 5 when it annexed the disputed territory in violation of international laws.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other members of his government have to respond within 21 days to the charge.
The lawsuit has been filed under the supervision of known Sikh lawyer Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
