
Pakistan Navy ship PNS Alamgir has visited Oman’s Port of Salalah today.
According to spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, PNS Alamgir was warmly welcomed at the port and held meetings with Southern Naval Commander and Deputy Commander 11 Infantry.
Matters pertaining to mutual interest, including maritime cooperation between the two countries, were discussed in the meeting.
PNS Alamgir is appointed at the regional maritime security patrol at Arabian sea, according to the Spokesperson.
Joint exercise was also carried out between PNS Alamagir and Oman Navy’s ship. Later, PNS Alamgir, which had been deployed for regional maritime security patrol in the Arabian Sea, resumed its patrolling activities.
The Spokesperson said the visit will help strengthen relationship between navies of the two countries.
It was the 12th exercise in AYYILDIZ series, which continued for 12 days.
According to the spokesman Pakistan Navy’s ships PNS Aslat, PNS Alamgir and maritime long-range aircraft participated in joint operations and war tactics with Turkish Navy.
This series of bilateral exercise has been regularly conducted between Pakistan and Turkey on annual basis, Directorate of Public Relations (Navy) said.
