President, PM pay rich tributes to martyrs, Ghazis on Defence Day

PM Imran, President Alvi stressed upon importance of sacrifices in their messages to nation with regards to the Defense Day.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan on the occasion of Defense Day said that, our brave forces are always ready to give a befitting response to any misadventure which comes against the safety and security of the motherland.

Pakistan doesn’t want war and regional peace is our foremost priority, PM stated.

PM Imran further stated that, Pakistani nation will not compromise on the National integrity and sovereignty and will retaliate against any setback.

On the other hand, President Arif Alvi in his message said that, our Armed Forces are imbued with the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice and are capable of defeating any external adventurism.

Along with paying tribute to our martyrs and war veterans, President Alvi further stated that we will fight for the rights of innocent Kashmiris till the moment they get freedom.

A major ceremony was held at the General Headquarters Rawalpindi today morning.

Army Chief General Qamar Zaman Bajwa addressed the main event of Defense Day’19, attended by the families of martyrs and ghazis at General Headquarters Rawalpindi.

Event was attended by the families of martyrs and ghazis. Whereas, Army Chief General Qamar Zaman Bajwa attended as the chief guest of the prestigious ceremony, dedicated to those who embraced martyrdom.

The sacrifices of our martyrs will never go in vain, the Army Chief said.

COAS, while addressing to the ceremony, said that Pakistan’s message to the world is peace and reconciliation.

Pakistan fulfilled its responsibilities whole-fully, it’s now time for UN and International community to practically prevent extremism, Army Chief added.
