Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has approved the request to distribute kits to treat dengue to the people.

The government will start an anti-dengue drive in Punjab, in which anti-dengue kits will be distributed in the red- zone area of Rawalpindi in the first phase. The distribution will be increased in other areas too if needed.

Secretary primary and secondary health has started working to prepare the kits, as per the instructions of the chief minister.

Usman has also ordered to prepare the kits and distribute as soon as possible.

Usman has said that both political and organizing team have been united to fight dengue. He further said that he had visited Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Faisalabad to observe the situations.

He also assured that the Punjab government will put every effort to fight against the disease. Basic medicines are available for patients in hospitals.

Usman has also confirmed that he has directed the concerned authorities to look for insufficient resources. He also announced that he will lead the campaign by himself.

He appreciated all the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff for their hard work and announced that they will be given allowances for their good performance in this campaign.

Before that, Usman Buzdar said while talking to press that the problem of dengue is prevailing not only in Pakistan but in the whole world. Control rooms have been made to control the disease. He also directed all the members of the assembly to attend the meeting regarding dengue control.
