Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that if India is righteous in its stand then why the international media and human rights organizations have not been allowed to visit Kashmir – why opposition’s delegation sent back from Srinagar airport?
According to details, on the occasion of 74th United Nations General Assembly Session Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met President UN General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad Bande.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister also felicitated Tijjani Muhammad Bande on assuming the charge as a President General Assembly.
While talking about the Indian atrocities in the occupied valley, the Minister said that Kashmir has been under siege for 53 days. Kashmiris do not have access to hospitals, educational institutions are closed, and thousands of people are forced to bear the brunt of oppression.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also invited the President General Assembly to visit Pakistan.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavusoglu on the sidelines of the 74th Session of UN General Assembly in New York.
They discussed continued human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and regional peace situation.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the way Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has raised voice against Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir at the forum of UN General Assembly, has given encouragement to oppressed Kashmiris.
Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to continue joint efforts for peace and stability in the region.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi also met with his Bahraini counterpart Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa in New York.
