71 billion deposited in national treasury in 23 months: Chairman NAB
National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal has said that his organization has deposited Rs 71 billion in the national treasury during the last 23 months which is a record success.
Speaking during a meeting in Karachi, Chairman NAB said that NAB filed 600 references to corruption in 23 months in accountability courts, with a conviction rate of 70 percent.
He said that DG NAB is taking steps to improve the performance of Karachi Company.
He further added that NAB is the most important regional bureau of Karachi and it has played a key role in the overall performance.
The basis for mega-corruption white-collar cases is a top priority, Chairman NAB added.
He further said that NAB has adopted a policy of accountability for all.
