Azadi March: ANP sets the stage in Islamabad

Awami National party (ANP) caravan has reached Islamabad’s rally venue H-9 from the expressway following JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazl ur Rehmanl’s Azadi march.

ANP chief Asfandyar Wali addressed the media and said that there is no rift among the opposition parties, participating in the march.

He further said “Today was the date for the rally, even if anyone reaches or not, the ANP is here.”

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will address the rally tomorrow.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl, announced that his party will march towards Islamabad on October 27.

The JUI-F leader told reporters in Islamabad the ‘Azadi March’ will begin on October 27 and it is aimed at toppling Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.

October 27 is observed as ‘Black Day’ in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Fazl said the final destination of the march would be Islamabad’s D-Chowk.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been trying to take all the opposition parties on board pertaining to his anti-government march.

However, Pakistan Muslim League-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said, the October 31 public meeting has been postponed, against government policies, this gathering will now take place on November 1, 2019.

It delays because of the loss of valuable human lives in a tragic accident, he added

Spokesperson of PMLN, Maryam Aurangzeb also said, United opposition parties postponed the gathering today.

She also said, the October 31 rally has been postponed because of Rahim Yar Khan’s incident.

The leader of JUIF, Akram Durrani said, the rally will stage tomorrow after Friday prayer, The convoy will arrive in Islamabad late at night.

Akram Durrani also said, our people will spend a night in the venue.

According to the sources, President of PMLN, Shahbaz Sharif also postponed his plan to visit Islamabad.
