A major step of the Prime Minister, he has decided to expand the Langar scheme for the backward areas of the country, reports said on Sunday.

Earlier, an ‘Ehsas Saylani Langar’ Scheme was inaugurated in Islamabad.

According to the details, after Islamabad, in Sindh, three Langar Khanay (Kitchens) are decided to be established in the Tharparkar district, which will provide food to 600 people on a daily basis.

PM Imran will soon inaugurate the Ehsaas Langar Khana at Tharparkar while it will be opened under a public-private partnership, sources said.

In this connection, the team will visit Tharparkar soon to locate the Ehsaas Langar site in the district.

Earlier on October 07, PM Imran Khan launched the Ehsas Saylani Langar Scheme in Islamabad to provide free food to the needy of the country.

The scheme, which has been launched in coordination with the Saylani Trust, one of the country’s biggest welfare organizations, aims to provide hygienic food to the poor.

On the occasion, Ehsaas Program’s head Dr. Sania Nishtar said that the government intends to open 112 soup kitchens in the first phase of the scheme, which would be completed in a year. The kitchens will provide food to 600 people in the capital on a daily basis.

Imran Khan told about his ambition to build a welfare state, based on the model of the state of Madina, where the poor section of the society will be uplifted.

He said that the government was striving to create opportunities for the business community in order to generate wealth that can be spent on people.

He emphasized, however, that change would take time.
