NAB to take severe actions against corrupts: Chairman NAB
Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday has said that in the last couple of years it has proved that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is a sovereign and not our personal advertising.
According to the details, addressing the NAB officers of Sukkur headquarters, Chairman NAB said that in the past two years, more than 600 references have been filed and more than 1,200 inquiries have been made.
He said that taking mega corruption cases to their logical conclusion is the bureau’s highest priority.
Recovery of the looted money to [the national exchequer] from the corrupt people is the NAB’s top priority,” he said.
In the last 23 months, 600 references have been filed in accountability courts and in this span, Rs71 billion were recovered and deposited into the national exchequer,” he said, adding that the department has been strictly following the policy of “accountability for all”.
“NAB doesn’t look fees, instead it considers case,” Chairman NAB mentioned.
