Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said that Pakistan strongly values ​​bilateral relations with Malaysia.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah telephoned Shah Mahmood Qureshi and discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and regional security situation.

FM Qureshi informed his Malaysian counterpart about the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the people of Kashmir are looking towards the international community especially the Muslim Ummah to get them freed from the Indian oppression.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Malaysian counterpart for endorsing Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir dispute.

Both the foreign ministers agreed to continue the process of consultations on regional peace and stability.

Earlier in a day, FM Qureshi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic Tezgam train mishap.

Tezgam train, which was on its way from Karachi to Rawalpindi, caught fire near Tanori Station Chak no. 6 Chani Goth.

Dozens have reportedly been wounded, whereas, 71 have been confirmed dead after 3 bogies of Tezgam train caught fire near Liaquatpur.

10 firefighter vehicles were deployed to extinguish the fire. Pakistan Army contingents have also been dispatched to the area to take part in rescue and relief activities.

An Army Aviation Helicopter was airlifting the injured from the site of the incident.
