Prime Minister Imran Khan met Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei in Tehran.

Government of Pakistan stated in an official twitter account that Prime Minister thanked the Supreme Leader for support to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir for their right of self-determination.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Muslim Ummah faces numerous challenges internally and from the outside.

It is important to articulate a message of unity and solidarity among the Muslim nations, Premier added.

Earlier on Sunday Prime Minister Imran Khan arrives Tehran on his official one-day Iran visit.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif welcomed PM at the airport.

According to the details, during his visit, PM Imran will hold meetings with the Iranian leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Dr. Hassan Rouhani.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Special Assistant Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and DG ISPR are accompanied by the Prime Minister while the Iranian President and PM Imran will also speak to the media, according to the Foreign Office Spokesperson.

This will be the Prime Minister’s second visit to Iran this year.

Imran Khan is on a mission to reduce tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

After his visit to Iran, PM will fly to Saudi Arabia on 15th October (Tuesday).

Earlier in September, Imran Khan also had a bilateral meeting with the Iranian President on the sidelines of 74th UNGA Session in New York.
