We are ready to sacrifice our lives for Kashmir: Siraj-ul-Haq
Chief Jamat-e-Islami Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that Kashmir is a life line for Pakistan and government should focus on Kashmir instead of other matters.
Addressing the protest March in solidarity with Kashmiri brethren Chief Jamat-e-Islami said Kashmiris were forced to remain in their homes, they were stopped to offer Friday prayers since last 70 days.
He further said that Government should have been taken all political parties into confidence on Kashmir issue but the Government did not do so.
While commenting on the Prime Minister’s visit Siraj-ul-Haq said that it is a good thing to mediate between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but first save your own house from fire.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq also criticized the United Nations and said UN had totally failed to resolve Kashmir dispute therefore Pakistan should not look for support of International Community to intervene.
“Jehad” is the only way to liberate Kashmir from Indian illegal annexation, he added.
It is pertinent to mention that on 5th August the Indian government revoked Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Occupying administration has imposed a curfew in occupied Kashmir, suspended telephone and internet services, and detained the local leadership.
According to the Constitution of India, Article 370 provides provisions regarding special autonomy to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per Article 35A, a person cannot acquire any immovable proper in Kashmir if he or she is not a permanent resident of the region.
Article 370 guarantees special status to Kashmir region, restricting the Indian state’s legislative powers.
Pakistan had strongly condemned the unprecedented New Delhi’s move to revoke Kashmir’s special status.
