COAS visits Armoured Corps Centre in Nowshera
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Armored Corps Center Nowshera, and also held several important meetings.
According to a statement issued by the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa lauded the Armoured Corps’ performance in different forms of combat during a visit to the Armoured Corps Centre here in Nowshera, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
Spokesperson ISPR said that “Lieutenant General Sarfraz Sattar [was] installed as colonel commandant Armoured Corps” during the visit of the COAS.
ISPR further stated that the Army Chief appreciated the role of the Armored Corps in conventional and non- conventional wars and also placed a floral wreath on memorial martyrs at the Armored Corps Center.
Earlier, Australian High Commissioner Geoffrey Shaw called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
Matters of mutual interest including bilateral cooperation and regional security were discussed during the meeting.
