According to details, opposition leader in the national assembly and PML- N chief Shehbaz Sharif was talking to media in Lahore high court where he stated that court has given its judgment on humanitarian grounds.
He also added that court rejects government plea and ordered to remove Nawaz Sharif’s name from exit control list, unconditionally.
Mr. Sharif said that we are grateful to our nation, our party workers who prayed for their leader, and specially the court that also removes the condition of indemnity bond, laid by the federal government.
Nawaz Sharif is traveling to abroad for four weeks on medical grounds and his condition remains unwell, then we may request the court to extend bail, the opposition leader added.
Earlier,Lahore high court ordered to remove former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ’s name from Exit control list, and allowed him to travel abroad.
Former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has submitted a written affidavit guaranteeing the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
During yesterday’s hearing, the federal government urged the court to maintain its condition of seeking a security bond from the former prime minister.
Appearing on behalf of the federal government, Additional Attorney General Ishtiaq Khan had objected to the maintainability of the petition and requested that the petition be dismissed for being “non-maintainable”.
He contended that Nawaz should approach the Islamabad High Court instead of the removal of his name from the ECL, as the federal government had placed his name on the list and the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the plea.
