The final postmortem report of Nimrita Kumari reveals that she was allegedly raped before her death as the DNA samples of a man are found.

According to the details, Nimrita was a final year student at Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC), Larkana.

Nimrita’s death was determined to be caused by suffocation as asphyxial signs caused by a ligature on the neck were seen during the autopsy, according to Dr. Amrita, the CMCH’s Woman Medico-Legal Officer.

This high-profile murder case’s post-mortem report was issued by the Woman Medico-Legal Officer (WMLO), Dr. Amrita of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

The WMLO said that the ligature marks also tally with the information and such signs are produced either in strangulation or hanging.

According to reports, DNA test confirmed the presence of male DNA profile indicated from semen residue on the deceased’s clothes.

Earlier, Nimrita Kumari was found dead in her hostel room of Chandka Medical College, Larkana.

Police on September 18 arrested two suspects in the alleged murder case of Nimrita Chandani.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, the suspects were close friends and classmates of Nimrita Chandani.

Family of Nimrita Kumari has dismissed the initial postmortem report.

According to the report, the cause of death came in front as a suicide attempt, which is not accepted by her family and they demanded for a new autopsy.

Moreover, the incident had sparked an online campaign “#JusticeForNimrita” where the social media users demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident.
