Prime Minister Imran Khan said, restoration and export of industries is the top priority of the government.
According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired an important meeting, Secretary Commerce briefed PM about Afghan Transit Trade promise.
The issues related to Pak-Afghan transit trade were considered in the meeting.
Briefing the Prime Minister at the meeting, it was said that a number of steps have been taken at the operational level.
The smuggling of goods have been stopped in Pakistani markets because smuggling was harming the domestic industry.
PM Imran Khan said, Streamline the Pak-Afghan Transit Trade Agreement with Afghan authorities because we want both countries and the region to get the benefit.
Imran Khan also said, Afghanistan is getting positive indicators of economic and social development and the government wants transit trade from neighboring Pakistan.
PM ordered to the Ministry of Commerce to develop a detailed plan, the misuse of technology should also be prevented, while addressing PM also asked to highlight the needs so that the corruption can be reduced.
Government measures should not be misused, PM also said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan says that after being included in CPEC, government’s best effort is to make full use of Chinese expertise in the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan applauded Khusro Bakhtiar’s efforts as a Minister for drafting and especially for launching a new phase of the CPEC project and accelerating the pace of progress in the ongoing projects and putting them into action.
According to the details, in the new phase of the CPEC projects, key sectors such as agriculture, poverty alleviation, industry, energy, communications, etc. have been made part of the project.
The Prime Minister said that in view of the importance of agriculture in the domestic economy, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has been given new responsibilities to accelerate the development of agriculture sector.
