A two member bench headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the petition against the sale of land of steel mills.

Justice Gulzar expressed his views on the performance of steel mills, saying that Pakistan Steel Mills was a huge company, which included vehicles, trucks and rockets. Now the situation is that people looted it badly and filled their pockets, which has led to the destruction of national assets.

The Supreme Court dismissed the federal government’s ruling against freezing accounts of the Ministry of Industry and Production and barred the federal government from selling land of Pakistan Steel Mills.

On the other hand, a three-member bench headed by Justice Omar Ata Bandial rejected the railway report in the Railway Golf Club implementation case and sought details of the club accounts from the concerned authorities. The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing for 15 days.
