Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari may not fly to Karachi today as his medical condition is not well. According to the details, Doctors have not yet decided whether to allow or not, Asif Ali Zardari to travel.

Asif Ali Zardari was discharged from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Islamabad on Thursday after being granted bail by the Islamabad High Court.

Asif Ali Zardari had been incarcerated for over five months. He spent three and a half months at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi and then another month and a half at PIMS.

Asif Ali Zardari was shifted to Zardari House Thursday evening where he spent the night.

Asif Ali Zardari was accompanied by his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, daughter Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and senior PPP leaders.

He was taken to PIMS Hospital for a checkup to verify whether he could travel.

A special bench of the Islamabad High Court, headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah, granted him bail on Wednesday. Zardari had filed a bail petition on medical grounds on December 3.

He had filed for bail on medical grounds in the two NAB cases against him. His petition argued that he should be given bail till the completion of the trial against him.

NAB had initiated proceedings against Zardari earlier this year while his arrest warrants were issued on June 10 after the rejection of his pre-arrest bail.

He remained in the anti-graft watchdog’s custody for 68 days before being sent to Adiala jail in August on judicial remand.
