National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has challenged the Lahore High Court’s decision for granting bail to Maryam Nawaz in Supreme Court of Pakistan.

As per the details, Lahore High Court granted bail to Maryam Nawaz in Chaudhary Sugar Mills Case, on 4th Novermber 2019, which was reserved on 31st October

NAB in its plea, maintained that the decision of Lahore High Court was given against Supreme Court’s verdict. Maryam Nawaz became the largest shareholder with 47% share of Chaudhary Sugar Mill in 2008.

Following herbail from the Lahore High Court, many questions have been raised

NAB requested Supreme Court to reject the bail granting decision to Maryam Nawaz.

Let it be known that PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was granted bail by the Lahore High Court.

She was granted conditional bail and has to submit sureties of Rs 10 million, an additional Rs50 million and surrender her passport.

The judges said this case needs more investigation. When a case requires further inquiry, bail becomes the petitioner’s right, said the court.
