Chairman Pakistan people’s party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the Lahore incident and stated “Shocking scenes from Lahore. Latest episode of absolute anarchy in the capital of Punjab. Lawyer attacking a hospital, off limits even at times of war, is a new low for us.”

Bilawal also took a dig at the government and said “With the party that once attacked parliament now in power we are witnessing trickle down fascism.”

“Not only does this incident require complete accountability but also collective introspection as to where we have allowed ourselves to fall as a nation in Imran Khans NayaPakistan. We are better than this. Pakistan is better than this,” he added.

PM takes notice of PIC attack

Earlier today, a violent clash between doctors and lawyers has intensified as a rally attended by hundreds of lawyers stormed Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore.

Six patients have so far died after the protest turned violent.

The tensed situation at the hospital spread fear among the patients when lawyers started attacking the PIC assets after raising slogans in different wards and some people entered into the operation theatres which led to the stoppage of the scheduled surgeries of cardiac patients.

The dispute left four people injured when the lawyers broke windows of the emergency ward and several vehicles parked nearby.

A group of doctors and lawyers started pelting stones at each other in which four people sustained wounds.

The paramedics and physicians were seen making attempts to run out of the hospital premises in order to save their lives.

Police at first exchanged harsh words to clear out the dispute.

Later, as the police appeared helpless in resisting the charged lawyers, resorted to tear-gas shelling to disperse them.

An elderly female patient Gulshan Bibi died when doctors had left the ward during the clash. Other patients seemed in a state of fear and panic.
