Navy Spokesperson said the meeting held in Naval Headquarters Islamabad.
Navy Spokesperson said Naval Chief welcomed Admiral Nikolai Anatolyevich Yevmenov on his arrival.
However, Russian Admiral accorded with guard of honor.
Russian Admiral laid a wreath of flowers on martyrs memorial and introduced to the Principal Staff Officers.
Navy Spokesperson said the meeting discussed issues of mutual interest, moreover; including cooperation between the two countries’ naval forces.
Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan’s role in ensuring maritime security.
Navy Spokesperson said Admiral Zafar Abbasi also pointed Pakistan’s role for ensuring peace in the region and fighting terrorism.
Russian Naval Chief appreciated the efforts of the Navy in regards to maritime security and stability in the region.
Navy Spokesperson said Russian Naval Chief was also briefed on ongoing Kashmir crisis.
The visit of the Russian naval commander-in-chief will further enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially the Navy.
Earlier, Admiral Zafar Abbasi met with Saudi Commander of Naval forces in Saudi Arabia.
Admiral Zafar Abbasi attended a defense forum as the chief guest.
The Forum included series of lectures and panel discussions by speakers from various Think Tanks.
Naval Commanders from around 13 countries attended the event.
The event also included exhibition of the latest technologies, equipment and systems in the marine environment.
The forum encompassed regional maritime security concepts, threats &opportunities in global context.
The defense forum also encompassed increasing capacity for countering emerging threats and tackling future challenges in maritime industry.
During the meetings with the foreign dignitaries, matters of mutual interest and bilateral naval collaboration were discussed.
The Pakistan Chief highlighted Pakistan’s commitment in the fight against terrorism.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi also highlighted Pakistan Navy’s peace initiatives in support of maritime security in the region.
