Naval Chief, US Commander discuss maritime security

Pakistani Navy chief calls US Commander of US Naval forces on maritime security issues.

According to the details, Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command Vice Admiral James J. Malloy called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, matters relating to maritime security in Indian Ocean Region and mutual interest including bilateral naval collaboration were discussed.

Pakistan Navy has been a regular contributor to the Combined Maritime Forces since 2004 and has also commanded Multinational Combined Task Forces 150 and 151, eleven and eight times respectively.

Meanwhile Pakistan and china also going to conduct a month long joint military exercises,  Chinese unit from a special forces brigade of the People’s Liberation Army Xinjiang Military Region has departed from their base camp and began mobilizing in Pakistan.

Joint exercise are conducted “Warrior VII”, using vehicles and aerial transportation, according to a statement released by China’s Ministry of National Defense.
