Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan likely to arrive in Islamabad on January 2, on a day-long visit, sources said.
According to sources, crown prince scheduled to hold meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He also expected to meet other high-level officials of the government.
The expected visit of Zayed Al Nahyan is considered to be most important in context of Pakistan skipping the Kuala Lumpur summit.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had made a telephone call to the Crown Prince and exchanged views on bilateral relations.
Matters of mutual interest, regional and international affairs were came under discussion during the conversation.
The two leaders had also discussed ways of further deepening bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
They agreed to maintain close consultations on regional and international issues.
Earlier on October 4, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) invested five billion dollars in an oil refinery project in Pakistan.
COAS Bajwa calls upon Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
The (DG-ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter to report a meeting between COAS Javed Bajwa and Zayed Al Nahyan.
The public relations wing of the armed forces reported the development.
They also underscored the matters that came under discussion during the high-level meeting.
