Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Ehsaas Kifalat programme is a step towards the realization of the goal of welfare state under which over 7 million women would get Rs 2000 per month.

In her tweet she said this step reflective of Prime Minister’s vision of “One woman, one account”, which would prove a milestone in empowerment of women.

She said that launch of Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Kifalat Card was another step towards establishment of welfare state.

She said that Naya Pakistan was based on the feeling for the poor segment of the society.

Ehsaas Kifalat Programme

On the other hand Prime Minister Imran Khan will officially launch Ehsaas Kifalat Programme for the deserving families on Friday.

Under Ehsaas Kifalat programme, each family will receive two thousand rupees per month.

About five hundred thousand people will benefit from this programme.

All existing eligible beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme will continue to be part of Ehsaas Kifaalat programme.

Although The total numbers of expected Kafaalat beneficiary women are around seven million. Enrollments of one million families in 70 districts have already begun and these families will start receiving Kifaalat stipends from next two months.

More beneficiary families added through desk registration and other districts will be covered at end of the year.

Furthermore Kifaalat is part of the wider Ehsaas programme, where women will have better access to opportunities to graduate themselves out of poverty.

Earlier on December 30, last year, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar in her statement said that the Kifalat programme of Ehsaas initiative to get launched in 15 districts within few weeks to empower the poor segments of society.

Yesterday, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has announced to provide $200 million financial assistance to the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan program for youth development.

The youth development program initiated by Prime Minister Imran Khan receives acknowledgement on international level as the UAE government offered assistance to Pakistan.

UAE ambassador has made the announcement while meeting PM’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar today.
