Ambassador of European Union Ms. Androulla Kaminara held a meeting with Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in Islamabad today.

Speaking on the occasion, Planning Minister Asad Umar said financial inclusion and true empowerment of youth related projects, primary health and primary education, and climate change sectors are top priority of government.

The EU Ambassador expressed keen interest to work closely with Pakistan in order to promote our shared EU- Pakistan objectives.

European Union has expressed interest to further increase cooperation between supranational body and Pakistan to help assure that commonly agreed objectives are met.

Earlier, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has allocated $200 million of aid to support small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs, in Pakistan.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of Crown Prince of UAE visit to Pakistan, aims to support economic projects in Pakistan.

This visit marks Sheikh Mohamed’s first official foreign visit in 2020. Earlier, UAE crown prince had last visited Pakistan on January 6 in 2019.
