Good news for KP! The government has increased the budget
The National Assembly was informed on Wednesday that the government has enhanced budget for merged districts comprising erstwhile FATA from fifty-eight billion to one hundred and sixty-two billion rupees.
According to the details, replying to a question during the Question Hour, Minister of State for SAFRON Shehryar Khan Afridi said sixty-two billion rupees have been allocated to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in lieu of “Recurrent and Development Budget”.
Shehryar Khan Afridi said Federal government has approved one point one billion rupees under Prime Minister National Health Program for poor families in erstwhile FATA. The Minister of State said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also earmarked eleven billion rupees for the merged districts. He said five years Income Tax and Sales Tax exemption has been granted to erstwhile tribal areas.
He informed the House after the merger now all financial matters of erstwhile tribal region are being catered for by the KP government.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a good news for businessmen facing National Accountability Bureau during his Karachi visit.
PM Imran said that his government’s upcoming ordinance would insulate the business community from NAB’s domain owing to this traders do not need to worry about investigations of the National Accountability Bureau.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also attended the Pakistan stock exchange awards distribution ceremony in Karachi.
While addressing the ceremony Imran Khan has said that the justice system in the country should be equal for all.
It is to be noted that awards ceremony was held at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in which the award will be given to the top 25 companies.
Governor KPK Shah Farman and Governor State Bank Baqir Raza were also present at the event.
