Pakitan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Jahangir Khan Tareen has arrived Bahadurabad for a meeting with Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Jahangir Tareen, along with a government delegation, will conduct a meeting with MQM leaders at Bahadurabad center.
Former finance minister Asad Umer and defense minister Pervez Khatak will also join Jahangir Tareen today.
Note that the federal government has not accepted the resignation of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and measures are being taken to convince him.
Note that Prime Minister has created a committee to convince allies groups.
Committee has met with all government allies groups. A government committee has conducted meetings with PML (Q) as well as GDA and Mengal party. The committee has also assured that their demands will be fulfilled.
According to the sources, the government committee will visit Bahadurabad and will convince Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui to take back the resignation.
Planning Minister Asad Umar on Monday addressed a press conference in Karachi after meeting the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) (MQM-P) leaders.
Asad Umar had said efforts are underway to convince MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi to withdraw his resignation and include him in the cabinet.
He said Siddiqi has not taken his resignation back.
He said Khalid Maqbool is stiff on his stance of not backing on his decision.
Asad Umar added, “We have apprised the MQM-P leaders regarding development in Karachi.”
He said the government is working on different schemes to provide job opportunities to the youth.
