Mayor Karachi departs for United States with family

Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar departed for United States on a personal trip along with family today (Saturday).

According to the details, Mayor Karachi is on a week-long visit to the States and in his absence, Deputy Mayor Arshad Hassan will look after the city affairs as an acting Mayor Karachi.

Wasim Akhtar also went on a personal trip to United States in July last year. This time he is travelling with his family members.

There are rumors that Wasim Akhtar has some differences with MQM Pakistan leadership. He was doesn’t give his appearance in MQM – PTI dialogue session related to the issues of Karachi.

Earlier this month, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (PAKISTAN) leader has announced to leave Federal Cabinet.

MQM took stance that there were two agreements signed with PTI, one on Bani Gala and other based on Bahadurabad.

He said the contracts signed in the presence of Jahangir Tareen, a close associate of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.

People of Karachi are looking towards the Premiere Imran Khan for the solution of their issues, but the city is still suffering.

Delegation level talks held between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) today at MQM-P Bahadurabad center.

Dr Kahlid Maqbool Siddiqui said “The PTI knew about these problems before we joined hands to form the federal government.

The MQM-P convener said talks held with the PTI delegation were “encouraging” and the demands put forward by his party were for the welfare of the people of Karachi and Sindh. He said these demands were not meant to benefit any individual or political party but the people in general.
