While giving a response to Indian Army Chief’s statement Director General Inter service Public Relations (DGISPR) Tweeted “Statements by Indian COAS to undertake military action across LOC are routine rhetoric for domestic audiences to get out of ongoing internal turmoil.”

Speaking to media in New Delhi, Naravane claimed at some point and if we receive any orders from parliament to this effect then action will definitely be taken.
The Indian Army Chief further stated “entire erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir” — a reference to the region including AJK — is part of India, there is a parliamentary resolution from several years ago about this that the entire erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India,” added.
While referring to the Indian border with China, Indian Army chief said that the Indian Army is prepared to deal with challenges along the northern border.
Earlier today, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Munir Akram reiterated that Pakistan does not want war with India but if attacked, it will respond resolutely and effectively.
Drawing attention to India’s “aggressive intent” towards Pakistan at the United Nations, Munir Akram urged the world body to act “decisively” to prevent a war between the two countries and to enable the Kashmiri people to exercise their UN-pledged right to self-determination for peace and stability in South Asia.
Taking part in a debate at Security Council, he said Pakistan seeks to build a new structure of sustainable peace with its neighbours.
