Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday has summoned a meeting of party members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and spokespersons of the government.
The upcoming meeting of the party members will be held a PM House.
It will review the current political and economic situation of the country.
The meeting will held in the afternoon at 3:00pm.
PM Imran Khan will also inform the new targets and priorities set by the federal government for 2020.
A detailed discussion will held on the decisions taken by the federal government for price control.
The spokespersons will also be informed by the government’s stance on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Ordinance, sources added.
The party officials will brief on the Army Act Amendment Bill and National Accountability Bureau Amendment Ordinance.
A briefing will be given on the draft bill for making amendment in Army Act that had been approved by the federal cabinet yesterday.
Briefing on government measures to reduce inflation will also be on the agenda today.
Whereas, the premier will apprise the government’s rhetoric in the meeting, sources said.
Earlier today, The Supreme Court on Thursday returned a petition challenging the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Ordinance, 2019 by raising objections on it.
The court refused to admit the petition for hearing on the premise that the petitioner.
Farrukh Nawaz, has not approached any other appropriate forum before moving the top court.
However, Farrukh Nawaz took the amendments in the NAB law to the court.
He requested to strike them down from being ultra vires of the Constitution and suspend its operation till the final decision on the petition.
