Prime Minister to highlight Pakistan’s Economic Progress at Davos

Prime Minister will attend the World Economic Forum beginning in Davos, Switzerland today.

As per details, The thematic focus of this session is on, “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.”

Two key highlights of the visit include the Prime Minister’s keynote address at the World Economic Forum’s Special Session and his interaction at the Pakistan Strategy Dialogue with CEOs and corporate leaders.

On the sidelines, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders.

Several meetings also scheduled with a wide range of corporate, business, technology and finance executives and representatives of international financial institutions.

Imran Khan will speak to senior international media persons and editors during a session with the Forum’s International Media Council.

PM’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Zulfi Bukhari and other officials will be accompanied by him.

Sources said the premiere will meet foreign investors to apprise them of untapped investment opportunities in Pakistan.

They said a meeting of the federal cabinet scheduled to take place next week will likely postpone due to the prime minister’s visit.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will return upon completion of his visit on Jan 23.

PM Imran Khan to meet US President during Davos summit: Foreign Office

On the other side Prime Minister Imran Khan will also meet US President Donald Trump during the summit of the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, this would be the third leadership-level interaction between Pakistan and the US since the prime minister’s visit to Washington in July 2019.
