Tania Aidrus, Chief of Digital Pakistan Vision campaign held a constructive meeting with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate (UNSGSA) for Inclusive Finance for Development.

The meeting held between the two in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday.

The meeting between Tania Aidrus and Queen Maxima held on the sidelines of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Queen Maxima talked fondly about her last visit to Pakistan and is deeply committed to help promote digital identity as a public good and bridging the gender digital divide in Pakistan.

Tania Aidrus , former Google’s senior executive resigned from her post to lead the Digital Pakistan Campaign .

Tania Aidrus arrived in Pakistan from Singapore to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Digital Pakistan Initiative.

She  was a senior executive at Google and she has worked as Country Manager South Emerging Markets.

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the ‘Digital Pakistan’ initiative as a part of their government’s digitization programme.

Although The program was  to introduce the latest technologies for public welfare.

Meanwhile The inauguration ceremony of Digital Pakistan’ campaign held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad.

While addressing the ceremony Prime Minister Imran Khan said that “digitizing Pakistan crucially important for the progress of the country’s youth”

“Digital Pakistan will be the government’s utmost priority. It will unleash the potential of the youth.

Pakistan has the second biggest population of youth and it can turned into strength through digital work,” said the Prime Minister.

Furthermore he said “Women can contribute to this sector as well and gain jobs,” said the premier.

Moreover Tania Aidrus also addressed the “Digital Pakistan” initiative ceremony. She said  Pakistan has huge potential in Technology. She added Roti,Kapra, Makan & Internet are the basic rights of every Pakistani Citizen.
