Wheat Smuggled in Afghanistan, Central Asia, Marriyum Aurangzeb

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb  said that Prime Minister Imran Khan incompetent to run the government and to serve the nation.

The PML-N leader said in her statement that Imran Khan known for U-turns and incompetence, and challenged the premier to tell the people that flour and sugar crises created to provide benefits to Khusro Bakhtiar and Jahangir Tareen.

Furthermore Marriyum Aurangzeb declared the flour crisis as robbery by the incumbent government.

Wheat production exaggerated by 20 percent to make money by exporting it. The profiteers also took subsidy of $ 150 per ton from the federal government, she added.

“People looted in Punjab with the help of some notorious and corrupt flour mills, food department and ‘ATMs.’

Moreover she said “The wheat smuggled to Afghanistan and Central Asia.”

“A secretary was specially appointed in food department for a specific period to conduct this illegal activity and ‘Wasim Akram plus’ [Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar] did not bother to inspect a single flour mill.

“Usman Buzdar was unaware of the availability of flour in markets and export of wheat.

However she said Feed mills allowed to buy wheat for animals without assessing the human consumption.

The ‘ATMs’ had store wheat in large quantity.”

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday for taking all possible steps to meet wheat requirements in the country.

He said that it should ensured that no complaint over wheat or flour shortage could surface from any part of the country.

Imran Khan chaired a meeting over the availability of wheat, its demand, current stock and meeting the future requirements.

He stressed upon focusing on tackling the issues of hoarding and profiteering.

PM observed that wheat/flour had been the basic need and the public should not feel any shortage in that regard.
