Pakistan Express collides with passenger coach, 19 killed
At least Nineteen people lost their lives and multiple sustained injuries as Pakistan Express collided with a passenger bus at a railway crossing Kandhara Phatak near Rohri railway station.
Police and rescue teams reached at the scene immediately and relief activities are underway, affected people were shifted to the hospital.
According to the Police officials, 19 persons died and more than 30 people were wounded in the incident.
Earlier in January, two coaches of Allama Iqbal Express train derailed near Kotri Station in Sukkur.
Railway officials stated that the down track blocked for traffic owing to the derailment of the coaches of the Allama Iqbal Express.
So far there are no reports of any injuries or major damage.
However, the incident has damaged 50 meters area of the track.
Rescue operations also underway on the scene.
Khushal Khan Khattak Express from Peshawar to Karachi due to the accident stopped at some distance from the station.
It will be departed for Karachi after the restoration of the track.
