QUETTA: President Arif Alvi on Wednesday arrived here on one-day visit to inaugurate historic Sibi Festival as chief guest in Sib district.
According to the details, Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai along with Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Jam Kamal Khan, provincial ministers and senior officials, received the President at Quetta Airport.
Later, the President left for Sibi District to inaugurate the historic Sibi festival.
He is accompanied by Adviser to Chief Minister for Education Sardar Mir Yar Muhammad Khan Rind.

The first Sibi Mela was held in Jan 1885. It has subsequently developed into a cultural festival, with animal markets, camel racing, tent pegging and exhibitions of handicrafts, tribal dresses. Thousands of Baluchi tribesmen used to gather along with their animals in mid-February.
