Religious Ministry is all set to perform the balloting of pilgrims for Hajj 2020 under the government scheme, today.

Radio Pakistan reported Religious Ministry all set to perform balloting of pilgrims for Hajj 2020 under government scheme, today.

that the balloting to choose over 107,526 intending pilgrims for Hajj under the government scheme will be held in Islamabad today.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will perform the balloting.

A total of 1,49,330 applications received under the Government Hajj Scheme.

According to the Hajj Policy 2020, initially 179,210 Pakistanis to perform the sacred religious obligation,

This includes 107,526 under the Government Hajj Scheme and 71,684 through Hajj Group Organizers.

Some 10,000 seats under the government scheme reserved for senior citizens.

Unsuccessful applicants in balloting continuously for the last three years will automatically be declared successful.

The results of balloting will uploaded on the religious affairs ministry website.

The government Hajj package (per person) is Rs 463,445 for the north region and Rs 486,270 for the south region without Qurbani (sacrifice)

However Rs 486,270 and Rs 478,520 for north and south regions respectively with Qurbani.

Pakistanis in Hajj 2020

Total 179,210 Pakistanis will perform hajj this year including 107,526 under government scheme and 71,684 under private scheme.

1.5 percent (1,613) of government hajj scheme reserved to accommodate hardship cases, which include broken family, newly born infant and attendants/helpers.

As many as 500 seats has been reserved for accommodating low paid employees of public sector/corporate organizations, companies registered with Employees Old-Age Benefit Institution (EOBI)/Workers Welfare Fund. Likewise, 10,000 seats reserved for senior citizens of over 70 years age including their Mehram and helper.

Furthermore The lucky ones will picked through balloting if applications exceeds from the reserved quota.

Moreover The unsuccessful hajj applicants of 2017, 2018 and 2019 will be selected automatically.

Although Yet other quota of 1,000 reserved for overseas Pakistanis.
