Rana Sanaullah’s indictment in Drugs Case adjourned till March 28

An anti-narcotics court on Saturday adjourned indictment of former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah in drugs case till March 28, BOL News reported.

The hearing was presided over by Judge Shakir Hassan.

At the outset of the hearing the judge remarked that today is the date to indict Rana Sanaullah and other accused in thRae case.

However, the lawyer of the co-accused sought more time from the court to properly study the case.

“We are not being provided copies of the case”, the lawyer claimed.

The ANF counsel while opposing the plea said that delaying tactics placed by the accused.

How we can provide such documents, which are not included in the challan of the case, he said.

The ANF court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 28 by warning that the indictment would not be delayed on the next hearing.

Rana Sanaullah arrested last year in July by the ANF from the Islamabad-Lahore motorway near the Sukheki area.

According to ANF spokesperson, drugs recovered from the PML-N leader’s car.

The court released him on bail on December 26.

Earlier, Lahore High Court granted pre-arrest bail to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Rana Sanaullah in an assets beyond means case.

As per details, LHC division bench heard pre-arrest bail petition filed by Rana Sanaullah.

The bench comprising Justice Ali Baqar Najafi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard the petition.

The court granted pre-arrest bail to Rana Sanaullah till March 25.

Court also ordered Rana to submit two surety bonds of Rs 0.5 Million.
