Doctors arrested in Quetta have been released on the orders issued by the provincial government of Balochistan.

According to the details, DIG Abdul Razzaq Cheema has said that the police have released the arrested doctors on the orders of the provincial government.

It is to be remembered that 53 doctors of YDA were arrested by Quetta police on protest and sit-in.

The government has arrested more than 150 doctors, medical staff and shifted them to 3 police stations in the city.

The young doctors and paramedical staff arrested after they refused to end their sit-in in the city’s security zone.

During the protests, police and demonstrating medical staff resorted to scuffling as well.

Police said that the medical staff arrested due to the violation of Section 144 and now sent to different police stations.

The incident came in the backdrop of more than a dozen doctors contracting the virus reportedly while discharging their duties.

Spokeswoman Young Doctors Association Dr Yasir also stated that it is not impossible for doctors to continue their duties.
