State Minister for health Dr. Zafar Mirza said equipment will be provided to all health staff engaged in care and treatment of COVID-19 patients.
While giving media briefing along with Special Assistant on National Security Division Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Dr. Zafar Mirza said government is estimating damages due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.
National Command and Control Centre has a pivotal role in control of COVID-19 situation in Pakistan and it is a testament of national solidarity.
He said we are making preparations for future needs of the country, including those of the people and of the frontline health staff fighting against the spread of disease.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that with the the firm aims to resolve the problem Pakistan will come out of coronavirus pandemic situation successfully.
While addressing the ration distribution and relief fund ceremony at Governor House in Lahore, the Prime Mnister said Coronavirus pandemic is a test and difficult situation for the nation and by taking precautionary measure people can overcome from this disease.
The Prime Minister said world has no experience to cope with it which made this situation more difficult and even the advanced countries in the world with so many resources are not capable to defeat it easily.
Imran Khan said the government o the United States gave a relief package of $2000 billion to stimulate its economy in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, but they are still struggling adding that in comparison Pakistan gave a relief package worth 8 billion dollars will be further enhanced with time when we will get more resources.
