Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that the government has set a target of one billion rupees of charity for needy people.
According to the details, Governor Punjab said philanthropists and well off people are providing suitable donations for this cause.
Ch Sarwar said, under the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, ration is being provided to the poor transparently and indiscriminately.
The ration and food items were distributed among the deserving families at the Governor’s House.

Governor Punjab starts corona telemedicine helpline in province
Earlier on March 30, Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has said that deadly coronavirus knows no borders and it is a threat to the entire world, not just Pakistan.
According to a media report, Chaudhary Sarwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce a roadmap today to ensure food supplies countrywide. He added that government cannot defeat coronavirus alone and urged whole nation to get united.
Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar appealed to the masses to stay at their homes and stressed that one can prevent himself from the virus by not going out.
He added that providing food supplies to the poor is government’s top priority.
