Nation cooperating with gov, death rates lower than feared; says PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday the nation is cooperating with government to a great extent in combat against Coronavirus.

While sharing his views about Covid-19 situation in the country Prime Minister Imran Khan said Our situation is much better than many countries.

The people cooperated with the government to a great extent.  The number of cases we were estimating as of April 30 is not as high, said Imran Khan. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the death rates from coronavirus in the country are “lower than feared.” The premier added that he had “thought that our intensive care units (ICUs) would be filled by now but that was not the case”.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan said  Coronavirus does not differentiate between Rich and Poor. Social Distancing must firmly practiced to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Addressing a ceremony at COMSTECH Headquarters in Islamabad today, Imran Khan said Nations move forward with confidence. Self-confidence enables people to cope with adversity.

Imran Khan said life of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is the role model for every Muslim.  In addition to this Imran Khan said working according to the Sunnat of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is the secret of successful life.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the coronavirus has brought to the fore Pakistan’s need to build its medical infrastructure.

“Earlier, the ruling elite used to rush abroad for treatment for the most minor illnesses, they can’t go now because it’s dangerous.

“We have to focus on improving our medical infrastructure so that we are prepared for any such emergency situation in the future,” he said.

Prime Minister said Pakistan witnessed its most successful years during decade of 60s. However in the past, the country’s productive capacity neglected.  We have not spent money on education and research in the past. He congratulated Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary for seeing the potential in a dormant industry.
