Prime Minister Imran Khan has made a surprise reshuffle in his federal cabinet.
According to the details, PTI leader Syed Fakhar Imam appointed as Federal Minister for Minister of National Food Security, while Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has been given the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Hammad Azhar has been replaced by Khusro Bakhtiar, who is now Federal Minister for Industries.
PM Imran also accepted the resignation of MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as a federal minister for information technology.
Azam Swati has been given the portfolio of Minister of Narcotics Control while Babar Awan has been appointed as Advisor for Parliamentary Affairs.
Meanwhile, leader Pakistan Tehreek- i-Insan and Former spokesperson of Punjab Chief Minister, Dr. Shahbaz Gill Tweeted that the changes in federal cabinet occurred in light of Federal investigation (FIA) report on Sugar/wheat crisis.

Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency has submitted the inquiry report on wheat and sugar crisis to the Prime Minister that includes names of top political families.
The report states that the major cause of the wheat crisis is the lack of planning by the federal and provincial governments.
As per the reort, PTI stalwart Jahangir Tareen benefited from the crisis, Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research Khusro Bakhtiar’s brother, and Moonis Elahi’s companies profited the most from the sugar crisis.
